Happy STITCHING THURSDAY!

Watching "The Thing" on  dvd that my daugther got from Redbox last night.  I am crocheting like a stitch beast--watch me roar, ha ha.

Yesterday as I mentioned I finished both the boy and girl baby (0-3 months) bunny hat and diaper coverup set for a client .   Here's a pic...

 Loved it.  Now,  I have been crocheting quite a few more for Easter but my college girl has the camera now for her architecture project.  It's all good.  I'll get it back later today and take more pictures.  Email me [email protected] if you would like one pre-advance.  

Also, quite pleased to see I have 37,549 views on one of my youtube videos-neat-o, neat-o.  I haven't been as vigilant with posting as I should but perhaps this will be the incentive I need.

 

 I will be at work a bit later  so cleaning up and SO (K)not forgetting to bring along my crochet--got orders to fill....

I had to talk to my twin, RE~Gina, lately--she has anger management issues so that particular quote will not sit well with her....

My client in MD received her ima~GINA~tive ori~GINA~l crochet ensemble already--I just mailed it out on Saturday; was told she'd receive it on today.  Wow, fast.  She sent me an email early this morning and KUDOS:  "You are the best.  I got my box yesterday.  Everything fits."

I wanna do more and more facetime video but I'm shy--yea, right!  Well, I think I am and it's strange hearing myself on playback -- I'm all over the place, but guess what, that's what happens when you sniff fibers for years on end!  Yea, well, I try to stem off that crochet-itis disease--dis @ ease without my loops!  Homie don't play that!

I had soul food last night at "This Is IT" Restaurant on Panola Road in Lithonia--good food and great customer service.  Got attention--they were checking my style; also it helps to be 6'2" or so in heels, wink!!!!

 

I made this new hat design idea:  Queenie Crown Cute....hats for lots of braids and dreadlocks.  I just have to make a wig cap and "grow" some hair for my mannequin...since I'm soooo shy to be photographed, ha

MY DESIGNS!!!!--ahhh, the works of one's own heart and hands:  give her of the fruit of her hands and let her own works declare and praise her in the gates... I have come sooo very far with learning about picture images==been blogging since 2004.  It has been a wonderful and patient journey.  I can't wait to see what I can do with video editing and such....Yay and hip hip hooray for growth!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and at first--since I am/was pressed for time--I wanted to just post a picture or 2. (hence, the quote) As you can see, I included the words to a song.

Well, I have sometimes been "speechless" looking at a photo and muted when trying to describe a painting or image.  So I am musing over that particular quote.  What if the words are not only inadequate but unkind?  Still those are words filtered through our own and others' perceptions, experiences, values, humanness. Then why are we either happy or sad from an expression from someone be it voiced or animated? (assumed, presumed)  We have no control over others' thoughts, words, attitudes or such?  So when do you get (or still on the road to getting) to the point that either approval or disapproval must go: a choice, a present-moment one.  Good is great but if you receive otherwise, it won't kill ya.  It's only just an opinion.

Ah, but to be creatively alive....too busy BEing to even notice what others are doing; this takes time and serious introspection.

So, "a picture is worth a thousand words", really?

love it!  I saw him but just now getting around to posting it...lol

I know my children were on the look-out for those who were going to be singing that song at school...I wasn't disappointed....

the crochet bowtie in stop motion--quirky ......Inspiration and I made one....

I am deciding on this yarn....acrylic and novelty variegated ribbon.

 

 
 

I had to make matching earrings.  I love the feel of the ribbon on the hook and thru my fingers.  It actually has some shiny gold threads in it.  It is so lightweight and with the hair bow just sets a funky mood.
